Deborah Sokolove

Following her 2019 retirement as Director of the Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary, Deborah Sokolove continues to make art, write, teach, and serve as a Steward of Seekers Church, an intentional Christian congregation in the tradition of Church of the Saviour, where she is a member of the worship planning group and frequently preaches and leads services. Her books include Sanctifying Art: Inviting Conversation Between Artists, Theologians, and the Church, Performing the Gospel: Exploring the Borderland of Worship, Entertainment, and the Arts, and Calling on God: Inclusive Christian Prayers for Three Years of Sundays.
