This inaugural film from actor/coach Acacia Danielson celebrates the 100th Anniversary of St. Joan of Arc's canonization (May 16, 2020) with five female movement artists, separated by time, space, and quarantine restrictions. "I Am Ready" wonders what her life and death have to teach us about faith, doubt, and conviction in this time of isolation and bodily danger. This film was shot by the individual artists in Italy, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and edited together by the producer.

 
 
 

Acacia Danielson is a classically trained actor and coach based in Washington, DC. She specializes in stories characterized by mythic language and poetic movement. This site-specific movement piece celebrates the 100th Anniversary of St. Joan of Arc’s canonization and reflects on what her life has to say about doubt, fear, faith, and conviction during this season of isolation and death.
