Led by Josie Hoover, this participatory workshop explores dance as spiritual practice and transformative worship. We'll work on breathing, self-reflection, expression inspired by scripture, and meeting God through sacred movement. Participants will also begin work on an 8-count phrasing to continue building on at home. All skill levels welcome!
About the teacher: Josie Hoover is a teacher, preacher, and consultant in liturgical dance. Serving as an adjunct professor of liturgical dance, Josie's impetus for dance is embodied theology. Her desire is to help dancers realize the full potential of dance as a spiritual practice and a guiding force for change in the community.
