‘Love’s Radiant Play’ Cento

by Kathleen Gunton

Music’s only secret is silence. It’s time

Weeping as you go on in, through

Energy, the speed of light, the universe

Love’s radiant play and refraction

It’s beautiful to watch

It seemed I was the dream

A life without a body

To go up to heaven, to rise

Come to this, all of it—everything

Is love the reward, or the test itself

It almost seems as though I could remember

Like a story that makes us come true

To be a better man than I was then

Redefining Love

That forgives

All the way home . . .
